She was born in Havana, Cuba on August 26, 1953, daughter of Dolores Hernandez and Alberto Garcia. Maria is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lee Carter.
She is survived by her brother, Albert Denis; sister-in-law, Reina Denis; nephew, Michael Denis; and cousins, Magaly Chiprut and David Mark Chiprut. She also leaves behind her cherished stepchildren, the Carter family who loved her dearly, her extended family, and the caring neighbors who were always there for her. We will miss her deeply and carry her love with us always.
