

Marty, as he was known, was the beloved son of T. R. and Thelma Benson Kalnen, who preceded him death with wife and soulmate Paula Robbins Kalnen and brother Michael D Kalnen.
Marty is survived by two daughters, Jasmine Kalnen Sprouse and Savannah Kalnen, sisters Linda R. Kalnen, Deborah A. Kalnen, brother Ted L. Kalnen, two nephews Nicolas Blanton, Matthew Kalnen, two nieces Rae Salling, Chesley Kalnen and three (3) grandchildren, Dallas P. Kalnen Grissom, Emma E. Henley and Dawson C. Kalnen Sprouse.
Marty was baptized at McClure Presbyterian Church as a child. Jesus offered him the faith and hope to maintain a productive life.
His interests were greatly varied. As a teen he learned to drive tractor/trailers, worked with his dad in the arcade business and helped maintain Coastal Music when his father’s health declined. Marty had entrepreneur ideas and became an electrician, HVAC license, and a Horse Farrier while managing his mobile home park.
He loved life and all it had to offer along with music, playing guitar and dancing. As a child Marty was quite a good hoofer (tap dancer).
A funeral service will be held at 5pm, Tuesday, February 10, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. The family will receive visitors one hour prior, beginning at 4pm.
