Mavis Ilene Johnson

Mavis was born in Wheelwright KY on July 9, 1931. Preceded in death by parents: Miles Little and Lucy Hall; as well as siblings: Robert Lee Little, Oscar Little, and Pearl Little.

Survived by Husband: Worley Johnson of Leland, NC; Sons: Worley Johnson Jr. (Linda) of Richmond, KY; and Roger D. Johnson (Janet) of Leland, NC; Grandchildren: Worley Nicholas Johnson III of Charlotte, NC., Anjuli Hollis Johnson of New York, NY; Alayna Kaelyn Johnson of Seattle, WA.

Mavis devoted her life entirely to her family; and loved her husband, children and grandchildren more than life itself. A selfless and tireless wife, mother, and grandmother; Mavis will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Phillip Blackwelder officiating.

Interment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia,NC 28422.
