Mildred Elaine Pierce

Mildred Elaine Pierce died at home July 31, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with Cancer surrounded by people who loved and cared for her. She was born in Charlotte, NC and traveled many places with her parents before settling in Leland which is where she called home. Elaine loved the beach, traveling, dancing, music and spending time with her friends and she loved her little dog ""Priss"". Elaine is survived by her Mother , Mildred Wiggins, a special Aunt Pat and her best friend Ronnie Thompson as well as many cousins and friends who will miss her all the days of their lives. She is predeceased in death by her husband, Joe Pierce and her Father, James ""JC"" Wiggins both of whom remained important in her life as she anticipated seeing them again. Her Mother wishes to thank her special friends, Linda Williamson, Ronnie and Archie Thompson, Randy Larson, and Jimmy Fulford in helping Elaine fulfill her last wishes. She could not of asked for more and is eternally grateful. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm Friday, August 3, 2012 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel with a memorial service to begin at 3:00 pm.
