Nixon Bryan Howard, 78, of Hampstead, NC passed away at New Hanover Regional Medical Center on Friday May 3, 2019. A memorial service will be held at Topsail Presbyterian Church in Hampstead, NC at 2:00 pm on Saturday May 11, 2019. The family will receive friends after the service at the church. Survivors include 3 daughters, Carol Howard of Columbia, SC, Dana (Jonathan) Wise of Charlotte, NC, and Carrie Howard of Vass, NC; five grandchildren, Cora Robison and Anna Walter of Columbia, SC, Bailey Wise and Autry Wise of Charlotte, NC, and Alena Lambert of Rock Hill, SC; two great-grandsons Alexzander Robison and Rayne Robison of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Cleo (Robert) Beatty of Wilmington, NC and Diana (David) Askins of Hampstead, NC; and two brothers, Hugh Howard and Donald (Marita) Howard of Hampstead, NC. He was preceded in death by his brothers Lawrence Howard and Bill Howard and his sister Julia Kirk. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Topsail Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 16249 N. Hwy 17, Hampstead, NC 28443.
