Norma Ann Gierie

Norma Gierie was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 1st to the late Alfonso and Maria Solomita.

She attended White Cliff Heights High School and was married to Bruce C. Gierie, who preceded her in death.

Norma was a lover of animals and had numerous dogs, cats and birds over her lifetime.

She is preceded by her sister Adrienne O’reilly and brother Anthony Solomita.

She is survived by her brother, Richard Solomita, her daughter Mary Gierie-Merrell and her husband David Merrell, her son William V. Gierie, grandchildren, Nicole Gierie, Adrienne Land, Joseph Gierie, Kathryn Pavelo, Leah Gierie, Vincent Gierie, Patrick Gierie, Hunter Merrell, Storm Merrell and great grandchildren, Remy Picou, Nia Taylor, Desmond Taylor and Evan Taylor

A memorial service is planned for later this year at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens.
