Paul F. Goodwin

Paul F. Goodwin, 76, of Wilmington, NC went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2022.
He was born in Greenville, S.C. on November 11, 1945 to Frank and Elizabeth Goodwin. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Paul attended Shorter College on a Baseball and Basketball scholarship. After graduating college, He accepted a job at Travelers Insurance Co. where he worked for 25 years. He specialized in Employee Benefits and continued his career at Harold Wells and Sons Insurance for 17 years until he retired in 2010. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, but his passion was golfing. He enjoyed playing with his grandson, Austin, son-in-law, Chris and his golfing buddies, Dennis, Don and Mike. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his church family at Grace Baptist Church.
Paul is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ann Goodwin; daughter, Shanna Luther and son-in-law, Chris Luther; granddaughter, Morgan Luther; grandson, Austin Luther and grand dog, Lexi all of Wilmington, NC and brother, Robert Goodwin of Orlando, FL.
A visitation for Paul will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, North Carolina 28412.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Coble Funeral Home and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel. Interment to follow the Funeral Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude’s Children Hospital or Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill Inc. 101 Old Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27517
