Ronnie Alton Russell

Ronnie was born July 1, 1990 in Kingsport, TN and was only 23 years old when God called him home. A tragic car wreck took this young life so quickly without warning Friday night December 6, 2013. He is survived by his parents, James and Heidi Russell, an older brother and his wife JR & Susan Russell, an older sister Gloria Jones, five nieces and nephews, Terissa, Samantha, Kevin, Charlie and Brianna and one great nephew Teegan. Ronnie was also loved by a very large family, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, as well many friends of the community. Ronnie attended Topsail Schools from Elementary through High School. He was an excellent football player and enjoyed life to the fullest. Ronnie was able to donate many organs including his large beautiful blue eyes and hopefully will be able to save a life with the loss of his own. Although the physical Ronnie is no longer a part of our everyday lives his smile, laugh and memories will live on in our hearts forever. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at the Church of God on Middle Sound Road, Wilmington. Interment will follow in Riley's Creek Cemetery in Rocky Point. The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at Andrews Hampstead Chapel.
