Rosemary Petersen

Rosemary lived a long and meaningful life centered around family, love, faith, and resilience. She was a devoted Catholic and a faithful member of All Saints Catholic Church. She was also a retired member of the Hampstead Lions Club.

She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the devotion she had for those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Frank; her sister, Lorraine; her beloved husband, Darwin; and her only son, Scott.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Kim and Jacque; her son-in-law Jeff; her daughters-in-law, Janet and Linda; her cherished grandchildren, Christina (Anthony) and Stephanie (Ponce); and her great-grandchildren, April, Christian, and Reese.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Interim HealthCare and Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Hospice for their compassionate care and support.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Hospice of Wilmington (lifecare.org).

A funeral Mass will be held on April 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church. A small gathering will take place at the church immediately following the Mass.
