Selinda (Cindy) Ann Harris Redman

Selinda (Cindy) Ann Harris Redman, 73, of Wilmington and Hickory, NC died March 19, 2013 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter. Born March 31, 1939 in Catawba County to the late Violet Goans Bowman and Larence Eugene Stamey. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents are step-father Brady Eugene Bowman an infant sister Patricia Stamey, brother, Jerry Eugene Stamey and spouse Jerry Edward Harris. Surviving are her daughter Geryl Harris Pittenger and granddaughter Hayley Harris Pittenger of Wilmington, Sisters Larcelia S Jackson and Joyce Brown of Catawba County, sister -in -law Roberta Stamey of Conway, SC. Also surviving are two nieces and six nephews, eight great nieces and four great nephews, and her very best friend Nancy King Pearson. A celebration of Life will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiated by The Rev John W. Duncan on Saturday March 23, at 4:00 PM. Receiving will be one hour prior to the service. As per her wishes there will be a scattering of ashes on Saturday April 13, at the Yaupon Beach Pier, 6:00 PM. The family wishes to thank all of her caregivers especially Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to Lower Cape Fear Hospice or New Hanover Chapter of Canines for Service.
