Vicki Shaw passed away Monday, March 23, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center. She was born in Pennsylvania on July 6, 1944, to Joseph and Victoria Heiser. She is survived by her loving husband Donald Shaw, sister Shanda Mahurin (Randy), and daughter Lisa Cuevas (Guillermo) as well as seven grandchildren: Jordan Cuevas, Private First Class Victoria Cuevas, Gregory Cuevas, Erin Mabry, Nathan Thompson, Lauren Thompson, and Zachary Thompson, four great grandchildren, favorite cousin Judith Rodgers (Philip), dear family Rox and Jim Thompson, and close friends Barbara Hardison, Ann Hulfish (Bill), Rachel Bath, and Michele Myers. Vicki was a loving, generous soul and will be greatly missed. Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 28, at Cape Fear Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA or the Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
