

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; William Barnes, Billy Barnes and James Barnes, and four sisters; Helen Barnes, Mildred May, Katie Godwin, and Dorothy Thorne.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Alois “Becky” Barnes of the home, two sons; William Barnes and wife Mitzi of Wilson and Greg Barnes and fiancé Tiffany Collins of Wilson, two brothers; Ray Barnes and Joseph Barnes, one sister Edna Proctor and four grandchildren; Ryne Barnes, Sydney Barnes, Trey Barnes and Grant Barnes.
Bobby was a faithful member of Saratoga Original Free Will Baptist Church. He spent many years working with Frank Barnhill and later retired with 35 years of service with S.T. Wooten Corporation. He will always be remembered as a hardworking man who loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching NASCAR races; he especially loved Dale Earnhardt.
Family will receive visitors and friends on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St. N, Wilson. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home and will be officiated by Pastor Greg Barnes and Pastor Lewis Forsythe. Interment will immediately follow at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson.
