Charles Edward Pate Charles Edward Pate, 85, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodard F. Pate and Maybelle Best Pate; brothers, Verna Pate, Charles Ray Pate. Charles leaves behind to cherish his memory, is his wife of 62 years, Lucille Turnage Pate of the home; his son, Keely Pate of Lucama, daughter, Shelia Owens and husband Clifton of Conway, SC; brother, Kenneth Ray Pate and wife Gayle of Lucama; six grandchildren, Michael Best, Brian Best, Eddie Pate, Michelle Barnes, Kevin Lucas and Anthony Lucas; and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral Service 6:00 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home with visitation to follow from 6:30 ~ 8:30 PM. Graveside service will be 11:00 AM in Evergreen Memorial Park Thursday, September 15, 2016.
