Dorothy H. Ferrell September 24, 1925 – March 25, 2016 Dorothy H. Ferrell, 90, of Wilson passed away Friday. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2016, at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Groce officiating. Interment will follow in the Ferrell Family Cemetery, Wilson, NC. The family will receive friends 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Monday at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, 2704 Nash St., Wilson, and other times will be at the home. Dorothy was a longtime member of Daniels Chapel FWB Church. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Surviving are her daughter, Debbie Pittman and husband, Larry of Wilson; two grandsons, Kevin Pittman and wife, Dawn, and Brad Pittman and wife, Jennifer, all of Wilson; four great-grandchildren, Thomas Pittman, Emilee Pittman, Noah Pittman, and Mollie Pittman; and a sister, Ailese Canady of New Bern. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tracey Pittman; parents, Johnnie and Mamie Barnes Ferrell; one sister; and three brothers.
