Henry Ray Poland, 66, of Nashville, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 in his home. He was born in Nash County, May 10, 1948, the son of the late Troy and Dorothea Poland, and was a lifelong resident. He had been employed as a computer programmer for the Guardian Company for 29 years. He is survived by his sister, Elaine Harrell and her husband Thomas of Nashville, his nieces and nephews, Jessica Overman and her husband Dennis, Troy Harrell and his wife Amber, Lisa Southall, and Kansas Farrell; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ashlyn, Danielle, Alexis, Landon, and Will. Visitation will be held from 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2014 at Thomas-Yelverton at Evergreen Memorial Park 2704 Nash Street,Wilson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 7, 2014 in the Chapel of Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home; with Burial to follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
