New Bern --- Howard Gray Sadler Jr., 65, passed away Friday afternoon around 5pm peacefully during his afternoon nap. Howard is survived by his special friend Crissy Boyd along with his Brothers and Sisters, Millie Lowe, Laura Ellis, Wilma Cook, Ronnie Sadler (Terry), Junnie Sadler (Joan) , 4 Nieces, 3 Nephews and was preceded in death by his parents Howell & Laura Sadler. Howard attended and graduated from Ralph L Fike HS, East Carolina University and 27 years in the US Army Reserves as a Master Sargent. He retired from the State of NC Prison Bureau. Howard’s greatest accomplishment can be summed up in 5 words by people who knew him closely: He was my best friend !!!!
