

JIMMIE “DOC” HARRELL Jimmie O. “Doc” Harrell, age 84, beloved husband of Edna Pittman Harrell went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 6, 2015. He was born in Wilson County to the late Jonah and Martha Harrell. He was a veteran of the US Navy, longtime, faithful member of Daniels Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church, member and twice Master of the Wilson Masonic Lodge # 712 AF/AM. He retired with the City of Wilson Electrical Department to enjoy traveling and golfing with Edna, family and friends until his health limited these activities. Besides his wife, Edna, he will be missed by his daughter, Diane Pullen (Robbie) of Elm City; his son, J. Otha Harrell of Goldsboro; 3 grandsons, Rick Schans (Tatum), of Elm City, Dan Schans of Wilson, and Walter Harrell of Goldsboro; his granddaughter, Kara Harrell of Goldsboro; 2 great-grandsons, Tyler and Nick Schans of Elm City; his brother J.E. Harrell (Marie) of Morehead, and many other members, friends and the “Bo” crowd. He was predeceased by his sister, Elaine Bridgers and brother, Bobby Earl Harrell. His family will receive relatives and friends at Thomas-Yelverton at Evergreen Memorial Park, 2704 Nash St North, Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
