Sandy Cary died at her home at the Brian Center in Wilson, NC May 24, 2025. She was 82 years old. Sandy leaves a legacy of kindness and resilience. She loved to engage in the many activities available at the Brian Center and especially loved to put together puzzles; several of which have been on display. Sandy had a keen memory of dates including birthdays of relatives, many celebrities, sometimes down to the day of the week like a savant.
Sandy is survived by her brother, Curtis Cary and his wife Joyce, her nieces Shelly and Christina and her nephews Steve, Tim, Eric, Josh and Joey. Sandy was preceded in death by her nephew Danny Cary, her sister Peggy Cary Eason, her brother Jack Raymond Cary, her parents Dorothy Jordan Cary and Raymond Gold Cary.
A visitation will be held at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home on Thursday, May 29th at 2 PM.
