Scott enjoyed spending time with friends and working out. He played baseball and football at Sequoyah High School. He coached his sons in little league baseball while he lived in Florida. Scott also enjoyed music and landscape design.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother Charles Dewey Thomas, Jr. Survivors include his mother Bettye Jenkins Taylor; wife Magda Taylor; sons Barron, Blake, and Cody Taylor; siblings: Robert (April) Taylor, Bonnie Taylor, Shelia (Wayne) Hardeman, Vickie (Keith) Caldwell, and Dollie (Robert) McLendon; nieces and nephews: Brandy (Kyle) Miller, Elyse Hunter, Laithem Caldwell, Chuck (Cherie) Thomas, Matthew Hardeman, Ryne (Tiffany) Caldwell and Jody (Erica) Trivette; and numerous cousins in Alabama.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:00 pm on April 9, 2022 at Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, Georgia.
