Billy Ross Johnson

Billy Ross Johnson, age 71, of Winder, GA passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015. Mr. Johnson retired from C.W.T. Farms Poultry Equipment Co. and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carl. He also was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served for 4 years. Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Sikes and Annie Ruth Michael Johnson, and brothers, Ronnie and Thomas Eugene Johnson. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Jelaine S. Johnson of Winder; sons, Brian (Terri) Johnson of Franklin, KY and Darren (Susan) Johnson of Maysville, GA; daughter, Julie (Jerome) Howell of Jefferson, GA; brother, James Johnson and sisters, Faye Casper and Hazel Cain. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren Courtney Hardison, Brandon, Madison, Lance, Luke and Levi Johnson, Brandy Pedigo, and Samuel and Lindsay Howell and 2 great-grandchildren Kaydence and Korbin Hardison. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home, in Winder on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. The funeral service will be in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 with Rev. Tom Hamm, Rev. Danny Ashworth and Mr. Jerome Howell officiating.
