Carl Long Jr., age 69 of Winder, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015. He was a welder and worked for Shepard’s Construction. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Long Sr. and Kathleen Rae Jefferson Long. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Kines Long of Winder; three sons, Carl Long III (Lisa) of Winder, Wendell Eugene Long (Stacy) of New York and David Long (Morgan) of Athens; four brothers, Mike, Bobby, David, and Glenn Long and three grandchildren, Brittany, Chris and Chase Long. Visitation will be held Monday, May 04, 2015 from 6 till 8PM at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Aaron officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
