

Edgar “Eddie” Haskell Hill, 60 of Dacula, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025. He was a native of Norfolk, VA and a graduate of Lake Taylor Senior High School. Eddie served his country faithfully in the US Army as a medic during Desert Storm. He left the Army in 1996 as a decorated Sergeant with multiple awards for achievement and conduct. He received medals including a Kuwait Liberation Medal and Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s in Healthcare and Nursing and a Masters in Business Administration from Phoenix University. He spent several years in service as a Board Certified and Licensed Practical Nurse in Virginia. Eddie was a Christian and attended Hebron Baptist Church, he spent his life caring for people with his selfless nature and warm sense of humor. Eddie was a good listener who deeply loved his friends and enjoyed a good cigar.
Eddie is survived by his son, Austin Offe; one grandson; a niece, Jamie Tangires; and a host of very close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Sr. and Vivian Mapes Hill and a brother, Jimmy Tangires.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 12 until 2 pm at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA with a special time of sharing scheduled to start at 2 pm. Inurnment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens, GA
