Elizabeth "Aunt Doote" Saunders, 93, of Winder, died November 5, 2011. She was a member of Winder First Baptist Church and had retired from Union Carbide as Office Manager. Ms. Saunders was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. and Laura Queen Saunders. She is survived by three sisters: Lois White (Bob), of Winder, Eris "Woodie" Saunders, of Winder, and Katherine Healan, of Winder; a sister-in-law, Sybil Saunders, of Winder, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 6, between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Smith Memory Chapel on Monday, November 7, at 2.pm. with Dr. John Talley officiating. Internment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home, Winder, has charge of arrangements.
