Joey Wallace, age 63 of Winder, passed away, Monday, October 7, 2019. He was a graduate of Winder-Barrow High School and worked as a parts salesman for Gene and Matt Tractor. Joey loved classic cars and was a member of Dixie Cruiser’s and Street Masters car clubs. He was an avid bowler and a member of the Barrow County Bowling League at Jefferson Lanes for many years. Joey was preceded in death by his parents, William Carl and Barbara Joe Shults Wallace. He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Celise Elder Wallace of Winder; a son, Stephen Wallace (Katie) of Birmingham, AL; two brothers, Billy (Cindi) and Jeff Wallace of Winder and three grandchildren, Simone, Tanner and Tate Wallace. A celebration of Joey’s life will be held at 5PM Friday, October 11, 2019 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA with Steve “Bo” Roberts and Joey’s family officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Cancer Foundation of NE GA at www.cancerfoundationofnega.org

We loved Joey for his smile and empathy.. All the Aunts, Catherine, Martha, Betty , and Jean knew he was special just like his Daddy Billy.

I met Joey through the Barrow County Bowling League at Jefferson Lanes. He was also super nice and a great competitor and sportsman. I am sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family. I will not be able to make it to the visitation or service, but you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Joey Wallace was a wonderful person. Always smiling and full of good humor and deeds. We are so sorry for your loss and hope you find peace soon.
We will be unable to attend due to a commitment to Connie’s 90 year old Mom in Rome, Ga.
