Helen Day Baxter, age 89 of Winder, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015. She was a member of Chapel Christian Church. She was a nurse at Barrow County Hospital for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Montine Deaton Day; brothers, Jimmy, Buddy, Harold and Lonnie Day and sisters, Irene and Lois Day. She is survived by her brothers, Jack and Lewis Day both of Winder; her sisters, Ruby Nell Helton and Carol Gresson both of Winder. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be held Monday, June 1, 2015 at Smith Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
