Richard “Dick” Lee Morris age 86 of Dacula, Georgia, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021. Born in Bluefield, WV, Dick was a veteran and served his country in the US Army intelligence branch. Following his discharge from military service, he graduated from Concord College with a BS in Business Administration. Dick rose through the ranks of the SSA and retired from The Department of Health and Human Services as The Associate Regional Administrator for Medicare over the 8-state southeast region. He was a member of the Decatur Elks Lodge for many years and was a member of Bethlehem First United Methodist Church where he volunteered in many different capacities.
Dick was known and loved for his passion for family, friends, and fun.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, John Lee and Iris Watts Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Ramsey Morris of Dacula; two daughters, Carolyn Hall (Robin) of Loganville and Stephanie Burgess (Stacy) of Bethlehem; five grandchildren, Amber Bir (Andrew), Allie Burgess, Jennifer Williams (Jon), Christen Sposa and Betsy Sawyer (Drew) and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on June 19th at 11:00am at Bethlehem First United Methodist Church located at 709 Christmas Avenue, Bethlehem, GA 30620 | (770) 867-3727.
