Robert "Bob" Glen Spurlin Jr., age 75, of Lexington, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Bob was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland to the late Robert Glen, Sr. and Earlene Boesl Spurlin. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Bob was self-employed in the sheetrock business. He and his family lived in Barrow County for 38 years before relocating to Lexington. While in Barrow County, he attended Calvary Baptist Church in Statham. When he wasn't working, Bob enjoyed hunting rabbits and cooking BBQ.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother David Clarence Spurlin. Bob is survived by his wife Sherri Len Spurlin; sons, Terry Glen (Brooke) Spurlin and David Brian (Jennifer) Spurlin; grandchildren: Grady Lake Spurlin, Lilly Jameson Spurlin, and Allie Kay Spurlin; brother, Marvin Thomas Spurlin; sisters: Ada Mae Spurlin Brown, Mattie Rose Spurlin Hardeman, and Marcia Spurlin Gandy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting plants to start a memorial garden at the farm in Oglethorpe County.
