
Robert “Bob” Marion Holland III age 77 of Lawrenceville, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017. Bob was a member of Crossview Baptist Church. He was a US Army Reserve Veteran achieving the rank of Major. Bob spent many years in law enforcement, including The Atlanta Police Department, The State Revenue Department and retiring from The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms in 1989 after 24 years of dedicated service. He worked for USFG Insurance as a fire investigator, owner of Holland Investigation and he was an instructor for The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Marion Holland II and Margarite Spencer Holland. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gail Smith Holland of Lawrenceville; a son, Andy Holland (Stacie) of League City, TX; a daughter, Kimberley Crone (Tim) of Lawrenceville; a sister, Donna Vickery of Anderson, SC and two grandchildren, Tobin and Tyler Crone. The Memorial Service to honor the life of Mr. Holland will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017at 1:30 PM at the Snellville First Baptist Church with Guy Priester officiating. The family has respectfully requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made in memory of Mr. Holland to the Brain Tumor Association at 8550 8550 W.
