Ronald Dean Farmer Sr., age 78, of Monroe, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025. He served in the United States Army and the Army National Guard. Ronald attended Victory Baptist Church. He was known for his woodworking, volunteering at the VA driving the van, and fishing.
He is predeceased by his mother Evelyn Marie Saunders; brother John Clifford Farmer, Sr; four sisters; grandson, Ethan Farmer; and prior wife and mother of his children, Linda Ruth Farmer.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife Barbara Farmer; son Ronald Dean Farmer, Jr.; daughter Erica Jean Farmer; step daughters: Anita Kittle McFarland, who also was his caregiver, and Dedra Michelle Griffith; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and special niece, Vickey Farmer Yost.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Smith Funeral Home from 12:00PM to 1:00PM. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 1:00PM in Smith Memory Chapel. Burial will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens.
