

She was born in Lower Salem, Ohio on September 25, 1922.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Franklin Brown and Dulcie Grace Holdren Brown, sister Myrtle Dilling and twin brothers Virgil and Vernon Brown.
Ruth was a graduate of Marietta Commercial College and was employed by Crescent Supply Co. in Marietta, Ohio for many years. After the family moved to Atlanta in 1964 she was employed by K-Mart for 13 years. She helped open the food grills at new locations and managed various grills throughout her career.
She was a member of the New Hope Road Church of Christ in Dacula, Ga.
She is survived by her husband, Crawford, and her two sons, Von, of Thomaston, and Jay, of Auburn, 8 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Ila Buchanan of Kingman, Az., and Wilda Beebe of Barlow, Oh.
Visitation will be from 7-9 Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday Nov. 9,2011 at New Hope Road Church of Christ with Evangelist William Howard officiating. She will lie in state at the Church beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga. at 2:30 p.m. Smith Funeral Home , Winder Ga.
