SARAH JANE THOMAS, age 71 of Winder, passed away Saturday December 21, 2013. She was a retired home healthcare nurse. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Thomas. Her parents, Homer and Runell Stinchcomb Pursley. She is survived by a son, Ron McNinch Jr. of Guam. Three daughters, Cindy L. McNinch of Jefferson, Sharon Nation of Ila and Mary Jane McNinch of Colbert. A brother, William Pursley of Homer. A sister Mary Virginia Pursley of Winder. Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be held Saturday December 28, 2013 from 6-9 PM at Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday December 29, 2013 at 2 PM in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Pruett officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
