Stanley H. Poole, age 65 of Bogart, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016. He was a member of Hebron Christian Center and retired from Smith Funeral Home. Stanley was preceded in death by his father, John Austin Poole. He is survived by a son, Michael Poole (Emily) of Watkinsville; a daughter, Tammy Morrow (Eddie) of Cleveland; his mother, Mary N. Short of Athens; a sister, Pat Poole McLure (Charles) of Watkinsville; a step-brother, Harry Tate Short of Andalusia, AL; a step-sister, Rita Patton of Rogersville, AL and eight grandchildren, Tyler and Morgan Robertson, Kirsten, Brianna and Bryson Morrow, Ellie, Benjamin and Sarah Poole. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA. Funeral Services will be at 4:00PM Friday, August 12, 2016 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Patton officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
