Vickie Lee Payne

Vickie Lee Payne, age 72, of Winder, GA passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025. She was born in Heflin, AL and was raised by her loving grandmama, Dovey Lee Measels, and Sybil Scott, who had a special hand in raising her. Vickie had been employed as an electronic technician with MICROMERITIC. When she wasn't working, Vickie enjoyed sewing, crafting, shopping, and dressing up and being "fancy", and watching Alabama football. More than anything, Vickie loved her two daughters, her grandchildren, and her husband.

Vickie is survived by her husband, John "Ken" Payne, and her daughters, Julie (Kenneth "Russell") Fogg and Shay Leigh (Justin) Goodwin. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Jackson Wesley Goodwin, Olivia Leigh Goodwin, Brittany (Nicholas) Tuz, and Kelsey Fogg; and two great-grandchildren: Parker Tuz and Harrison Tuz.

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA. Her funeral service will be Friday, August 22, 2025 at 2:00 pm in Smith Memory Chapel. The burial will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens, 793 Atlanta Highway SE, Winder, Georgia.
