Virginia Roberts

Virginia Garrett Roberts, age 86 of Winder, GA passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Virginia was born in Helen, GA to the late John Henry and Dolly Abernathy Garrett. A loving Christian and mother who raised her family in Winder. She was a member of Winder First Baptist Church. She considered it her greatest success that her children knew and loved the Lord. Virginia was well known for her love of flowers throughout her life. This includes many dedicated years of owning and operating several local flor al shops. She especially loved contributing to weddings. Her talents in decorating, floral designs, and gardening are carried on through her children.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Lester A. Roberts, Sr. and her daughter, Teresa Roberts. She is survived by her children: Lester A. (Leanne) Roberts, Jr., Susan (Ken) Helton, Judy (Dennis) Gay, and Amy (Jimmy) Durham, Jean Roberts; five grandchildren: Brandon (Ashley) Huff, Andrew Bailey, Aaron Bailey, Taelor Gowan, and Ken Helton, Jr,; and five great-grandchildren: Cameron, Logan, and Tyler Huff, Lilleigh Mae Smith, and Michael Kennedy; and a great-great-granddaughter, Blakeleigh Huff.

A Visitation will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA. The Funeral Service will be Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 403 Cedar Creek Rd, Winder, GA, with the burial to follow at Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
