Merritt Richardson, age 72, of Winder, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013. The son of the late William Paul and Bertha Merritt Richardson, He was a member of Winder First United Methodist Church and enjoyed his involvement in Habitat for Humanity. Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife of 46 years, Winfrey Smith Richardson, of Winder; sons and daughters-in-law, Perry and Setsuko Richardson, of Denver, CO, Tobin and Vicki Richardson, of Lawrenceville, GA; 4 grandchildren and sister, Willynda Richardson Robinson, of Cairo, GA. The family will receive friends at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 pm. A funeral service for Mr. Richardson will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2013 in the Smith Funeral Home Memory Chapel. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Winder, GA.
