Mrs. Barbara Marie McNeil

With heavy hearts the family of Barbara McNeil announce the passing of a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Barbara always lived life to the fullest and unselfishly gave her time to others. She was retired from Scotiabank and devoted her time to volunteering passionately at the Capitol Theatre, Theatre Windsor, and Friends of Willistead. She loved to travel and seek out new adventures in every corner of the earth. She leaves behind her loving daughter Barbara Towns and husband Daryl, grandchildren Denise Towns, Matthew Towns and his wife April, great granddaughter Addison Towns, daughter Karen Cichon and husband Mike, grandchildren, Lisa, Joe and Vicky Cichon as well as her dog Precious and many friends. We will hold you in our hearts forever and will not say goodbye but, see you later. Thank you so much to the many people who have touched her life and helped along the way. Special thanks to the staff at Country Village Nursing Home in Woodslee for their loving care. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Walter D. Kelly Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 1969 Wyandotte St. E. on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday morning November 14th, 2008 at 11 o’clock. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
