Edna May Swanson

Passed away peacefully on Saturday Septmeber 15, 2012 in her 97th year. Born in Bristol, England to Ellen & William Parker, she came to Canada as a young girl and lived in London, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late Alex Swanson (1992). Cherished mother to Marilyn and Dale Shuttleworth and Marg Jacobs. The apples of her eye were her grandchildren Todd (Claire) Shuttleworth, Tracy (Ed) Villa, Tara (Tony) Vogiantzis and Lisa Jacobs. She loved little children and was always happy to see her great-grandchildren Joshua, Joey & Maya Shuttleworth, Taylor & Lauren Villa and Kassandra & Samantha Vogiantzis. Predeceased by her sister Doris Pulham and brother Harold Parker. Survived by sisters-in-law Isabel Parker, Gloria Wolfe and brother-in-law George Swanson. Survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews. Terry Lake was a wonderful friend and she thought of him as her "son". Thank you Terry for all your support and friendship over many years. Edna was a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed for most of her years a very active life from line dancing to making her many crafts. Visitation at the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre, 1969 Wyandotte St E, Windsor on Tuesday September 18 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held in the Walter D. Kelly Chapel on Wednesday September 19 at 1pm. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London, On. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
