George Robert Hamilton

George Robert Hamilton passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025 at the age of 85 at Windsor Regional Hospital (Ouellette Campus) with his immediate family at his bedside. George was married to his love Irene Rose Hasiak Hamilton and they were 4 months shy of their 60th Diamond wedding anniversary. George is the son of the late George G. Hamilton (1999) and Marjorie Hales Hamilton (1994). George is survived by his brother Jim Hamilton, his son Todd and daughter in law Kelly, his goddaughter Stacey Veldhuis, daughter Wendy, daughter in law Marlene Klyn (Randy) and his grandson Steven (Maria), along with their children and many loving nieces and nephews.

George was an avid sports fan of the Detroit Tigers, Lions, Redwings and most of all his beloved Michigan Wolverines. He retired from Veteran Cab in 2024 after driving taxi for 65 years

Georges wishes were for us to throw a party for him, and if you knew him he loved parties. A celebration of life will be held sometime in October with details to follow. GO BLUE!
