Passed away at the Windsor Regional Metropolitan Hospital on November 20, 2016 at the age of 97 years.
Gertrude is predeceased by her beloved husband John Brown (Bud) as well by her sister, Helen Mckenzie and her two brothers, Johnny and Robert Galaher.
She is survived by her sister Mary Conn and will be missed dearly by her nephew Jim Mckenzie (Laura) and their children, Craig and Mark (Jennifer) and great great nephew Aiden.
Gertrude and her husband worked side by side throughout the United States and upon retirement relocated back to their home town where they were most happy; Windsor, Ontario. She was also very involved in the UCW group at the Emmanuel United Church.
The family would like to thank her neighbor, Joanne Trahan for keeping an eye on their aunt and being a good friend over the years.
Visitation will take place at the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre Thursday, November 24, 2016 from 2p.m. until time of service at 3p.m. in our chapel. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Gertrude’s name would be appreciated by the family.
