Joseph John Manherz

year, soon to be 97th. Loving husband of the late Shirley Manherz, wife of 66 years. Dear father of Michael, Mark and Brenda (Joe). Cherished grandfather of Rachel (Scott) Bracken, Sarah Manherz, Mark Manherz, Matthew Desjarlais, Katie and Luke Jefferies. Great grandfather to Brady and Ryland Bracken and Ryan and Ella Manherz. Predeceased by his siblings Frank, John and Rose. He will be missed by his siblings Julia, Kay, Rudy and Nick and will be fondly remembered by many cousins/nieces and nephews. Joe was an extremely patient, even tempered and kind man. He was a gentleman, a family man who always put his family first. He was adored by all who knew him. Most will remember him sitting outside smoking his pipe. He was hardworking, always well dressed, enjoyed bingo, horse races, exercising, golfing and watching baseball and hockey games. Special thanks to all of the employees at the Royal Marquis for watching out for him in his last couple of years. At Joe’s request there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
