Laurie Lee McLachlan

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Laurie McLachlan on July 25th, 2026, at the age of 65.

Born on December 2nd, 1960, Laurie lived a life filled with love, compassion, and devotion to her family. She will be forever remembered by her beloved husband, Michael McLachlan, and her children: Candace Trealout (Jay), Jamie Moroz (Amanda), Daniel Moroz (Katie), Ryan Moroz, and Kimberlee Moroz. Laurie was predeceased by her daughter, Sarah McLachlan, whom she carried in her heart every day.

Laurie was a proud and loving grandma to Hailey, Tyler, Madison, Makensi, Brayden, Luke, Emily, Morgan, Keegan, Violet, Heather, Benson, Molly, Max, Caleb, Brady, Wyatt, Cooper, Hudson, Hunter, and Brynlee, and a proud great-grandma to Sunte, Ellie-Anna, and Hamza.

She is survived by her mother, Frances Moroz her siblings, Cheryl Mark and Randy Moroz; and was predeceased by her father, Bill Moroz, and brother Wayne Moroz.

Laurie will be fondly remembered by her many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

Although she enjoyed spending time in her garden and playing bingo, Laurie’s greatest joy was her family. She created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Nurses and Doctors of Windsor Regional Hospital – Ouellette Campus at 7th floor West and the staff at Hospice Windsor-Essex for the compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Laurie’s memory may be made out to The Hospice of Windsor-Essex.

Visitation will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (3550 Forest Glade Dr.) on Saturday, August 1st, 2026, from 10am until time of Funeral Service at 11am.
