Predeceased by Leslie (d. 2015), her husband of 60 years, and her son Robert (d. 2016). Survived by her children John (Karen - d. 1982), Jim, Tom (Christine), Judy Chaif Simko (Jim), Jo-Anne McNab (Ward) and daughter-in-law Patricia St. Pierre. Loving and cherished grandmother to Jon, Aryn, Liam, Eric, Chrissy, Nik, Karen and Katie and 8 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Eunice Osterrid (SK) and Minnie Frame (BC). Predeceased by her parents Davis and Minnie Reece, siblings William (Thelma), Alfred (Betty) and Ben (Evelyn). Mary will be missed by many extended family and friends across great distances.
She was strong in her faith as an active member on committees/choirs and was a lay preacher at Calvary and Bedford United Churches. She was active in the community with Opt. Mrs Club, Moose Lodge, Clown Troup and Windsor Mineralogical Society. She was devoted to her family and opened her home and table to many over the years. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial visitation will be held at Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 5-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. in the Anderson Chapel, officiated by Rev. Charmain Bailey. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. If so desired, memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or The Downtown Mission.
