It is one year ago today that your children lost our dad.  There is not a single day that you are not part of our thoughts. The pain of losing you has not gone away and thankfully the memories bring the smiles to our hearts.  
Your grandchildren Jason, Erica, Derek, Ken, Vince, Josh, Gina and Debra will carry on your legacy in this circle of life.  Your great-grandchildren Alexander, Mackenzie, Taylor, Averie, Ben and Quinn is the next generation to learn more about their beginnings that started with you.  Your eyes twinkled when you saw any of your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren .. maybe you could sing .. 'I love you a bushel and a peck" ...   
Knowing you have joined your loved ones that passed before you brings comfort, but, still does not take away the emptiness here without you.
I know you will continue to love. guide and protect each one of us ... until we meet again.

Hard to imagine that it has already been a year since you went home to be with Mom! I miss that beautiful smile, those mischief blue eyes that sparkled like no other and of course, your singing! 
You were the best in my eyes though I was not your own, you never treated me less and I was very Blessed to have you in my life! So, until we meet again someday , I will treasure you in my heart! Hope you and Mom are having a great time singing together!

Today is March 1st, your 90th Birthday.  We won't be able to bring you a balloon, or a gift that you always enjoyed unwrapping with the childlike enthusiasm  in a surprise.  We won't be able to bring you your favourite dinner, or have some cake that you always had room for.  We won't be able to see your eyes light up with the rice pudding baked just for you.  We won't be able to sing Happy Birthday with you.  We won't be able to see you scowl if we hinted at what your actual age was, and then your smile when you would acknowledge you were only 63.  But what we can do together, is remember all of this and more, and send our love to you.  We will be all together today and close this March 1st day following our family dinner in honour of you.  And we can sing ... "I love you a bushel and a peck, a bushel and a peck and a hug around your neck".

To our Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa ..., our Patriarch of our Brown family -  this was your big day ... we miss you and love you.  May eternal peace be with you.

Its been one month since we lost you.  Not a single day has gone by that I don't cry a tear and wish we had that 'one more day' together.  I saw your pain when you lost your son Jim, your daughter Michele and knew you had that pain when you lost your baby David.  I also knew how much you loved your other sons Jerry and John and your daughter Marilyn and wanted each of us to know how much we all meant to you.  I will forever cherish the daily visits we shared and each memory you gave me.  Yes Dad, I made the rice pudding for you.  

To those who still have your dad (or mom) 'cherish him with care, for you will never know the heartache until you see his vacant chair'.  

One long month without you and the tears continue to fall.  I miss you dad so very much ... love you!

My deepest condolences to the Brown family. Milt and myself worked many years together at the tunnel in Mobile Operations.  He will be missed who all that new him.

It was always a pleasure working with Milt at the Tunnel. He had unique skills and instincts to know when a situation should be taken seriously or if it was worthy of a chuckle.  He had an easygoing way about him but when he was serious he was all business. He truly was an icon at the Tunnel, one of a kind and I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with him. My heart felt sympathy to his family.

I have many fond memories of working with "Milty" those many years at the tunnel, he was our friendly giant,,RIP you sweet and gentle man..may the wonderful memories you have of Milty help ease your grief..my condolences.

The best of my 36 years with Customs was 1980 when Milt and I were partners on the mobile / Marine Unit. From under cover with my jeep to eating at all the fast food resturaunts. The laughs we had (especially walking the train tunnel to Detroit) to this day I still talk of them with other Customs people I still see.

Sorry for the loss of your father - the patriarch of your Brown family.  His bright eyes, and amazing 'singing' will be missed by his friends at Southwood Lakes.

To the Brown family/children:  Over the years, I was privileged to know your dad, and of his loving words he easily said for each of you, including the ones that passed on before.  I also knew he had great pride in becoming a grandfather to Jason, Erica, Derek, Ken, Vince, Josh, Gina and Debra.  I am sure he spoke of love and pride for his great grandchildren too. I always knew that if Milt was on my shift, it was going to be a good one.  My deepest sympathy to his family.

Milt and I were partners on the first drug team for Cananda Customs.  He was my friend.  His people skills and intution helped me as a young officer move forward within this agency.  

I hope the rice pudding is free in heaven.
