The Sheardown family are heartbroken to announce the passing of their father, Robin, on April 9, 2021 at 66 years of age. Loving father of Christopher (Amy), Cynthia (Sean), Ashley (Blake), and Brittany. Adored Peepa, and Grandpa of Dallas, Phoenix, Olivia, Avalon, Gavin, Aidyn, Brie, Gage, Gabriel, Jack, Elyssia, Carter, and Auraelia. Beloved Uncle and Great Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Rob is predeceased by his parents, John Vernon and Kathleen Theresa (nee Benson), and his sister Jaqueline Theresa Hunter. Survived by his brother John Sheardown, and step-mother Zena Sheardown, of Ottawa. He leaves behind many friends and neighbours who have fond memories of him and his practical jokes. Rob was retired from Speedy Auto and had been an auxiliary officer with the Ontario Provincial Police. He was a staunch advocate for animal rights and supporter of PETA. Rob would often be seen spending quality time with his loving dog, Bella, who recently passed away. Also, recently deceased was his longtime companion, Skipper, the cockatiel. There is some comfort to know that they are meeting again beyond the rainbow bridge to the tune of the Andy Griffith Show. A special thanks to the ICU staff at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus for their care and advocacy in Rob’s final days. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to your local Humane Society. A private family service has taken place followed by cremation. The family hope to be able to celebrate his life at a later date.
