Ruth Marjorie (McLean) Potts

12 May , 192311 May , 2019

Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side. Reunited with her husband Edmund (1999). Cherished mother of Janice (Bob) Goody and Donna (John) Oldnall. Dear grandmother of Adele (Kris) Fairweather, Ryan (Lina) Poisson, Christine (Tyler) Elvin, Amanda (Neil) MacKay and Daniel Oldnall. Proud great-grandma / G.G. of Arabella, Bishop, Kiernan, London and Phoenix. Survived by brother Dale (Sue) McLean.

Ruth graduated in 1947 from the Grace Hospital School of Nursing. She loved being a nurse and worked at Grace and Hotel Dieu Hospital, retiring in 1978. Ruth was a proud parishioner and volunteer at St. David’s Chapel, Oak Park Terrace until her passing. A special thank you goes to her friends and staff of Oak Park Terrace for their kindness and compassion where she resided since 2008. Because of her passion as a nurse in the nursery during her career at Hotel Dieu, she proudly participated in knitting hats for the newborn babies at Met Hospital. Ruth and Edmund shared a love of travelling, music and dancing. She will be missed!

Ruth was a lovely, gracious and animated woman.
Eric and I were delighted to have her join our extended family when Adele married Kris and enjoyed Ruth's spirited conversation about her travels, as well as the time we spent with her in Parkhill.
Our thoughts are with Donna, Adele, Christine, Dan, Arabella and Bishop, (and John, Tyler and Kris) who have lost a beautiful mother, grandmother and GG.
Our prayers for peace and comfort are with you. Please accept our deep condolences on your loss.
Much love,
Sandra Fawcett and Eric Garsonnin
