On January 30, 2008, after a valiant battle with cancer, Sandee Clark passed away surrounded by family at the Hospice Village at the age of 65. Devoted wife of Morgan Clark, loving mother of Shayna & Steve Carey and Hudson Clark of Vancouver, BC and cherished nana to Quinn & Tate. Daughter of the late George (Soapy) and Margaret Hudson of Chatham, ON. Niece of the late Mabel Parsons of Chatham and Myrte & Don Tait of Victoria, BC. Dear friend and "sister" of Louise Brown. Wishing Sandee eternal peace are many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and co-workers. Using words to remember Sandee is difficult because words cannot capture Sandee's greatest gift to us: her smile. Her smile evoked confidence, comfort, optimism and love to all of those in her presence.
Starting with the audiences during her skating days with her competitive dance partner and Ice Follies, her smile dazzled audiences and judges alike. When Sandee hung her skates professionally and moved on to her next passion: teaching, her smile acted as the gateway to the knowledge and life lessons imparted to her dear students.
Following her teaching career, Sandee excelled in many different areas of retail in Windsor. Regardless of whether it was furs, shoes, jewellery or wool, Sandee's warmth always greeted her clients. Although Sandee's impact on the skating community, students, colleagues and clients is immeasurable, it is Sandee's relationship with her family and friends that defined her. Through countless football games watching Morgan stalk the sidelines or cheering Shayna on the tennis court and Hudson on the football field, Sandee was always the perfect person to go to celebrate victory or gain comfort in defeat. Sandee and her family would like to thank those professionals who treated, cared for and comforted us during the year and a half journey. A special note to Dr. Luo and staff at Hotel-Dieu and Dr. Mathews and staff at Windsor Regional for all of their compassion and care. Finally, an eternal thank you to the staff at the Hospice Village whose vision and dedication gave Sandee and her amazing smile a dignified and worthy place to begin the journey home.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the WALTER D. KELLY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 1969 Wyandotte St. E.
