Sheila Steele

Passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in Windsor, Ont. The most loving mother to Lorraine (Alexander) Steele-Zonjic, Robert (Carol) Steele and Richard (Lisa) Steele. Adored by her grand children, Alexander Steele-Zonjic, Sarah Tucker-Steele, Colyn Tucker-Steele, Alexandra Steele, Ashley Steele, and by her step grand children William John Kerr, Katherine Elizabeth Kerr and Samuel James Kerr and by her step great-grand child Kelly Anne Kerr. Missed by her brother Alistair Donaldson, Wollongong, Australia, sisters Lorraine Cook, Wollongong, Australia, the late Evelyn Banguraha (1996) and sister in law Jean Donaldson of Oshawa, Ont. Sheila was born in Edinburgh, Scotland to James and Ella Donaldson. She married Robert Steele (1989) of Greenock, Scotland in 1950. Together they had two children, Robert of Dunoon, Scotland and Lorraine of Glasgow, Scotland before moving to Canada in 1956 where their third child Richard was born in Windsor, Ont. Sheila was a talented seamstress who first worked for the Singer Sewing company in Windsor before being hired by the General Motors Trim Plant in Windsor where she was employed until her retirement. As per Sheila's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 1 until 5 p.m. at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (1969 Wyandotte St. E., Windsor).
