Passed away peacefully on June 12, 2019 at the age of 83.
She is now reunited with her late husbands Robert Saxby (1973) and Charles Grieve (1996) and her infant son Tommy. She will be sadly missed by her children Ted (Fiona) Saxby, Ruth (Jim) Smallman, Doug (Sherilyn) Saxby, Chuck (Bonnie) Grieve, Lorraine Ellis (Saxby), the late Pat Grieve, Marie (Ken) Morrison (Saxby), and Darcy Grieve. Proud grandmother of 23 and great-grandmother of 28. Shirley was a loving sister to her 3 brothers and her sister-in-laws who have predeceased her. She will also be missed by her foster daughter Rose Owens and extended family and friends.
In her younger years she was a Girl Guide and Brownie leader, enjoyed singing in her church choir and was a Sunday School teacher. Later in life, with her second husband Chuck, she helped with Woodchuck Boutique (woodworking). Shirley would also knit baby slippers for the Salvation Army as a donation at Christmas. She was an avid gardener.
A special thanks goes to the staff of Sun Parlor in Leamington for their care and compassion.
