Silvio Bonura

Surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer, Silvio passed away peacefully on June 6, 2013. Beloved and treasured husband of 40 years to Florence (Piruzza). Loving father to Cathy & Mike Bekic , Norine Bonura & Peter & Holly Bonura. Adored Nonno of Michael & Ryan Bekic & Dominic Bonura . Loving son to Caterina Bonura & the late Pietro (1968). Loved son- in- law to the late Giuseppe (2002) & Nora (2010) Piruzza. Brother to Stella & Alex DiPonio, brother in law of Frances & Fabian Gentile , Geni Orlando & the late Vince (2004). Respected and loved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the staff and volunteers at Hospice, especially Carrie White-Lafferty who went above and beyond. Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue (519) 254-3223 on Saturday from 7-9 and Sunday, from 2-5 and 7-9. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 9:00 a.m., then proceeding to St. Angela Merici Church, 980 Louis St. for Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
