Today I visited Rona at Kenaston Blvd where Alan worked in the Electrical and Lighting department. I went by to buy some electrical plugs and switches. I was looking for Alan down each aisle. Could not find him. I ask a employee if Alan was working today? Next I came across Morgan Brooks who hired me in  June 2011 to become a assistant to Alan. He told me that Alan passed away in November 2022, from cancer. This was a sad day for me to receive this news of Alan death. I visited many times when I shopped at Rona. I enjoyed working with him in 4 months I worked there till I was laid off in October 2011.. Alan was a true gentleman we talk a lot and  he mentioned to me many to go out for a drink. I promise him that I will do that so I just back from 🇬🇧 and decided to pop in and have that drink with him has I saw him last in October and I said to him next year I promise to go out with you for that drink!! Well Alan I shall have that drink sand think of you while I drink to you and I hope one day we shall meet again and have that drink with you😢😢😢 You always been kind to me and I shall never forget you I shall come by a visit your resting place and say hello till we meet again. My condolences go out  to your family and friends. RIP Alan🙏🙏🙏🙏

I’ve known Alan for the guts of 10 years. I have always thought of Alan as the father I never had. Whenever I was in his presence he wouldn’t be the one talking, he would be the listener. But when he had something to say he would get straight to the point. I will miss him dearly. My condolences to Cheryl, Calvin and Tamara who have been like family to me since I came to Canada 10 years ago .

I heard about Alan's passing from Vincent. So sad, I was always wishing that one day I would reconnect with him and share fond memories of Nairobi. My heartfelt condolences to the whole family.
